Arnie Marchand has a wide variety of experience that lends itself to a pioneering project such as Okanogan Solar. In 1986 he began as an Independent Consultant, contracting with the Colville Tribal Planning Department to prepare planning grants, museum projects, economic development initiatives, and land use planning initiatives.
He was later hired by the Colville Confederated Tribes as a Land Use and Economic Development Planner. Arnie worked for the tribe in various capacities until 2005. Since that time Arnie has returned to acting as an Independent Consultant, his primary emphasis on economic development. He currently sits on a variety of committees, including Okanogan County Economic Development Council, North Central Washington Economic Development District, Okanogan County Tourism Board, International Via 97 Committee and a host of others.
